Stones & marble are natural materials and are porous. For this reason, Stone, marble or travertine surfaces are sealed to offer some protection. The general maintenance of this type of product is in
line with wood. If a spillage occurs use a lightly damp cloth to remove immediately. Do not place hot items directly onto the surface. Use an insulated protective mat. Cork is not usually sufficient.
After a meal, use a lightly damp cloth to remove sticky marks.
Never use household cleaning products; they could damage the surface
Avoid dragging things across the tabletop as this may scratch the surface
